Atlanta Graffiti

Graffiti plastered onto the sides of buildings are usually ignored-they seem permanent, part of the painted facade of industrial buildings. One day, my favorite piece was painted over after three years and I suddenly realized that these images are land markers and to some, social art. I began documenting how these images created a dialogue with their surroundings. All of the images were recorded within 5 miles of my home, making this a personal record of my living space, as well.
